The next morning, Lingxiang and Momoko discuss the previous day's "weird play" between eri and tanaka. Lingxiang notices that the symbols on the stone tablet seem to indicate that someone has tried to kidnap eri. He asks momoko to get the magic compass so that he can search the three warehouses without alerting anyone to their presence. He says he can handle the search himself, but momoko suggests that they follow close behind him so as not to disturb the enemy. He wonders how he was able to find eri without using the compass, and wonders why he needs the compass now.
