The scene opens with a description of the dance club at the university. The narrator tells us that this is the largest inter-collegiate dance club in the country, and that there are "lots of cool guys" in the club. He says that if he'd thought that the guy was about to attack him like that, he would have left the dance party. He also says that he doesn't think he'll ever see the guy again, because he's "point lessly hot" in front of the other guys. He's shocked to see how much the guy has changed, and he says that it's only because of the guy's presence in the room. He offers to lend the guy some dry clothes if the guy wants to change, and the narrator says that's what he would do if he were in the same room as the guy.
