About This Chapter
In this chapter, Cai tells Cai that he is going to suffocate if he does not find another way to save himself. He asks Cai if he still has the bomb that he can use against Renzi, and Cai wonders where Hero Cui is. Cai then shows Cai the school uniform, which Cai believes is evidence that Cai has committed a serious crime. Cai says that the first crime he has committed is a crime against God, and that Cai's story is a violation of the school's code of conduct. Cai also points out that the sentence for destroying or altering a school uniform is 40 years of study. Cai is relieved that Cai is not sentenced to the death penalty, because he believes that Cai still has a chance to reform his life and be a better person. Cai wonders if he will be able to do so if he has to stay in high school for 40 years. The sentence for the second crime is reduced by 15 minutes, which means that Cai and his sister will be allowed to take their university entrance exams at the same time as the entrance exams for the other students. Cai thinks that this will be a good sign for Cai, and he hopes that Cai will be spared the death sentence.
