In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, a young woman named "Chiaki." She tells us that she has been looking for "Ward" to meet her, but he has not yet shown up. She asks him if he plays any games, and he replies that he does when he has time to do so. The young woman asks him to add "puter" to the game, which is a game in which two people play a game on a piece of paper, and then they "beam i cant wait" to play the same game on another paper. The game is called "magic world," and the two young women are playing it together.
