In this chapter, we are introduced to the Oracle of the Underworld, who tells us that the King and Empress are both safe and sound, and that Tan Song has been arrested. The Oracle also tells us about the great incident that occurred in the Celestial Palace, in which the King gave him the title of "third- grade earl" . The King also gives him the right to leave the Palace at any time.
