In this brief scene, Panlunhui explains that he and the others have discovered the human skin lanterns in the royal palace. He tells Pan that he was passing by the palace when he came across the murder case. The government tried to find out the cause of the crime, but the corpse was not found. Pan wonders if the corpse knows his secret and that yama hunted down the dead man to silence him. Pan explains that if he goes back to hell, he can identify the victim. If the victim hasn't yet been reborn, they can ask for the whereabouts of the king. Pan says that he has a way to get there. He says that if they look closely, they will see that there are "a few fish shadows" in hell.
