In this brief scene, Ling tells us that he is finally able to form a "cocoon in peace" , which means that he and Ling will soon be able to leave for the mainland. Ling is excited because he thinks that he will get what he promised. He tells us, however, that everyone has already left, and that they will all be gone by the time Ling and Ling arrive in the country. Ling says that he wants to stay with Ling and raise a child, and no one else will bother him anymore. Ling asks why he is suddenly making the decision to leave. He says that lately he feels that his body is slowly recovering, and he thinks it is his brother's "spirit in heaven protecting" him. Ling tries to calm him down by saying that whatever it is that makes him happy, being with Ling is his greatest happiness
