In this chapter, the monster explains how he and his family came to be trapped in the ice cream factory. They were supposed to celebrate their father's birthday, but suddenly came out onto the street and began to bite people. They ran with a crowd and saw the empty shop where they had been hiding. They hid in there and saw that there were still a dozen zombies in front of the shop. The monster tells his father that if his big bro had killed a hundred of the undead, he would be the "savior of the world" . He says that they are afraid of death, but can they really survive if they stay in the factory? They've been frozen in the refrigerator for days. What if they eat all the frozen fish up ? Only by getting out can they have a chance to survive . They ask the monster if he's willing to stay and starve if they don't go out. He tells them that he can take them all out, but they have to answer the first question: "do you really want to stay here?" The monster says that he'll tell them whatever they want to know, but first he has to ask them if they really care about their father. Now that he knows, he says, he doesn't need to worry about his father. He'll just go check on the door and be fine. He also tells the monster that if he avoids the zombies, his father will be fine as long as they stay inside the factory
