In this chapter, the protagonist explains how he came to be in the cell, and how he and his friend escaped. He explains that he and the friend became friends in games, and that the friend's parents had a lot of guns at home. He invited the protagonist to parties at their house, and the two of them became lovers in games. But when they arrived at the house, they realized that the world was not the same as the world they knew in the games. They took the guns from the friend, drove away, and killed the zombies that found them. The protagonist explains that people judge people based on how they look no matter what they look like. Beauty is not everything, he says, and only those with "brains and expertise" can laugh at people who judge based on their looks. He says that it is time for them to show the people in the world how the world works, because they are the ones who are responsible for it. He tells the protagonist that the government is acting as an interim government, and he says that the protagonist should not be messing around with people who have escaped from the government, because the government will eventually crack down on them.
