The next morning, Eliot's narrator wakes up in the middle of the night. He's not sure what's going on, but he's pretty sure it's because of the fight. He wants to know who the attackers are, and what they're planning to do about it. Eliot asks the narrator to tell him what happened, and the narrator doesn't know what to say. He just wants to hear what Eliot has to say, and then he'll be able to figure it out for himself.
