In this short scene, a young girl named Lily is playing with a dog named Nemo at her friend's house. The dog, named shion, is sick, and Lily has come to visit him. She tells the dog that she is a girl, and that she can't attend school because she's a "hand shy" girl. She also tells him that her father will beat her to death if she gets caught playing with the dog. Lily asks the dog if he knows how to write, and the dog says that he does, but that he doesn't have the money to go to school. Lily says that she has no money, so she has to stay home and play with her friends. She says that if she does get caught, she'll be beaten to death by her father. Lily then tells her friend that she thinks that shion has a fever, and she asks if he has a headache. She then asks if anyone knows sign language, and he says that no one does. Lily tells her that she was the one who confessed to him yesterday, and when she asks him if he heard something, he mumbles that he didn't hear it. Lily wonders if she heard something yesterday, too, and asks if she can go inside to find out what's going on.
