The narrator asks the two boys if they would like to go swimming, and the boys reply that they would, but that they need to make sure they bring food and water. The two boys discuss whether or not the trip will be a test of their knowledge, but the narrator does not want to hear about it. He asks if the trip is a real test, and both boys admit that it is not. He then asks why they are not paying attention to the announcement, and they both admit that they do not know that they are less qualified than the other boys. The boys then ask Grammy to bring them some food, and he does so. He tells the boys that he was worried about their lack of parental support, but they are having fun with their friends, so he feels better.
