The next morning, Phaedra wakes up in the middle of the night. He's worried about his mom, who's still in a hospital. He tells her to take care of herself while he's gone, and he promises to send her a letter every two weeks. Phaedree chirps that it's been a long time since choi-kiho died, and his property was seized by the government. Eunsoo has left her old school and gone to the new one, where she'll stay for the rest of her life. The old man at the market told her that the place was famous for being haunted, which is why it used to be empty. He also bragged that the house was cheap but good, and that it was hard to buy such a house with the money they have. He says he'll have to ask the old man to help them find a place to live, since they don't have enough money to buy a place like this with. He complains about how cold it is outside, and the water is so cold that he can't even get a hot shower.
