In this short scene, Lee Soo watches his sister, Eun-soo, collect all of her belongings from her room. Lee Soo tells his sister that he does not have much money and that he will throw away all of his possessions if he has to. He also tells her that his relationship with Mieko was "created on purpose" and that she will leave when he has nothing left. He then shows her the receipt from his marriage with her and asks her to confirm the amount so that he can see her in a month's time. He says that his plan to have "a new life" by marrying a "Korean nobleman" failed because he was not "impotent" enough to stick with a man of his own rank. He tells her to stop being with Lee Soo and to say goodbye to her child.
