This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, where the young master is being bullied at school. The young master tries to apologize for his behavior, but the boy is too upset to respond. He tells the boy that he is being harassed because he has told him to do so. The boy tells him that he does not want to be bullied, but he does want to know why the boy does not tell anyone about the situation. The old master tells him to watch his mouth, and the boy responds by saying that he would beat the boy if he had a reason. He says that if there is something wrong, he is the only person who gets killed, and he is not afraid of being beaten. He asks the boy why he hit him, and says that he wants to get scolded. He adds that if he were an adult, he would be a father by now, but not an adult. He mocks the boy for pretending to be going to school, saying that if it were the old days he would pretend to be someone else's father, but now he is a student.
