Hirokazu and Berio are on their way back to the palace, and Hiroko apologizes for being rude to them. He tells Berio that he doesn't think they have enough room for everything, so he's going to take them to the arena, where they can pay him when they get there. Berio asks how he can cook an egg like this. He says he'll just pound it into a big egg dish and fry it side by side in a pan of olive oil and lemon juice. The egg tastes like it's from the countryside, where he used to live with his mother. He's happy to be back in the city, but he can't wait to get home and fix the ship.
