The next morning, gibbs wakes up in the middle of nowhere. He's not sure why he hasn't been able to make it to the top of the mountain where he was supposed to catch the dragon. He tells himself that things are always going to be different in the sky, and that he's lucky that he didn't have to go through the same ordeal as the rest of the crew. He says that he was just a kid trying to catch a dragon, and the kid was waiting for him on top of a mountain for three straight days. The kid trusted him, he says, and now he thinks that the crew will just stand by and let him hurt their best. He also tells the kid that a big ship is just about to arrive, so he'll have to come inside and get his hair done. He swears that the skyfarers aren't fighting, but that they're just waiting for the ship to arrive so they can hit the ground running. Then he says that the orphanage where he used to live used to take care of the kids, and he wonders if they'll be able to deal with the aftermath of what happened with gibbs and his crew.
