In this chapter, the audience is introduced to a number of characters, including the falcon, the falcon's henchman, and the female lead of the story, Lady Mi. Lady Mi is the daughter of the Mi's family, and she has been named the general of southern China. The falcon is shocked to learn that the crown prince has gone missing, and Lady Mi begs the emperor not to allow a war to break out between the two countries.
