In this chapter, we are introduced to the protagonist, a boy who has been suffering from sexual abuse. When he wakes up from his nap, he finds that his master is still asleep in the bathtub. He asks his master to wake him up, but the master is too tired to do so. The boy tells his master that he is going to be punished for his bad behavior, and the boy tells him that he hates his master when he punishes him. When the boy asks why he is being punished, the master replies that he wants to buy the apartment complex where the boy lives, but he cannot because it is too small.
