About This Chapter
In this chapter, the master of the nine-path fortune-teller explains to the audience that he did not kill all the boatmen because he had time to kill the man who monopolized the business of killing the skin arts spirits. He believes that the man must have a "vengeance against the skin-arts gao clan" and that the clan will retaliate soon. The master then proceeds to explore the water depths of the dragon-head lake, where he finds three corpses hanging from beams. The three corpses are those of the villagers who drowned in the lake.
