The monkey king asks the grand martial elder if he has heard about meditation, and the elder replies that meditation is a form of spiritual control. If you are unable to control an ape, your heart can easily be swayed, and if you can do this through meditation, then you will become clear like a mirror. The elder asks the monkey king if he thinks the monks and daosists meditate all day, and he replies that he would like to try it first. He compares the upgraded demon ape to innate qigong, and wonders if it is the same thing as the ancient art of kinnetic qigong. He wonders if this means that the meditation is the real thing, and asks the elder to put aside the matter for now and look at it. He feels that spirit is being his whole thing and wonders why he only sees a single pair of eyes. He thinks luck of house is very obvious, and houses are taboo to look for if anyone has died there before, if there are good lighting and if there is a burial site on top of the house.
