In this chapter, we are introduced to a number of characters, including Hu Mingyu, who is the protagonist of the story, and his uncle, Mingyu's father, and Mingyu himself. Mingyu is a young man who has just returned from a trip to China, and he is eager to show his uncle and father what he has learned from their travels. He tells Mingyu that he is the one who is going to fight the other men in the fight, and the two men begin to fight, with Mingyu beating the heck out of the other fighters. Mingyue, the protagonist's older brother, tries to stop Mingyu from fighting, but Mingyu will not listen. He threatens Mingyu with death if Mingyu tries to harass him again. The two men are interrupted by the sound of a fan, which alerts Mingyu to the fact that his uncle has come to save his friend, who has suffered a heart attack. He rushes to the scene, saying he is on his way to the hospital to treat the heart attack and that if he does not come, the heart will be dead. The other men are shocked at the thought of Mingyu treating a man who is in such a dire condition, and they accuse Mingyu of being a "brat." Mingyu defends himself, saying that he has been practicing medicine his whole life and has saved countless people, including the protagonist. He asks Mingyu not to insult him by talking about medicine with him, because he is a world-renowned doctor and chairman of a group of doctors.
