In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the "brother fan," who is a member of the "loan shark" gang. He is a young man who has borrowed money from "loan sharks" and is now in need of his father's money to pay off the debt. The loan shark tells the young man that his brother, "brother snake," is waiting for him at a nearby town. The young man tells the loan shark that he has nothing to fear, and that he will meet him at the town's main gate. He says that if his brother does not come, he will kill him before he dies.
