In this chapter, Wushuang and his son-in-law discuss the possibility of women making bids on a pill. Wushua says that he's sure that the pill will be his, but he'll have to wait and see what the price will be before he decides whether or not to accept it. The father-son conversation is interrupted by a knock at the door. Uh-oh, it's a knock from his daughter's maid. Apparently, the maid has stolen the umbrella from the father, and the father is angry that she's done it on purpose. He's also angry that his daughter still cares about his dead daughter, and that she would do the same thing if she were still alive. He doesn't know who his daughter is, and he can't see her face until he knows for sure that she isn't his daughter. He asks the maid to let him hold her for a while, but she refuses, saying that she has to go back to her father's holy city
