This chapter opens with a flashback to the time when Shuguang and his wife were living in China. Shuguang asks his wife if she has forgotten anything, and she replies that she has not. She tells him that they are married, and that he is not lying to her. He tells her that he will help her regain her lost memories, even if she cannot get them back. He invites the head of the sword sect and the disciple of the cloud sect to come and see him. Shu'guang is proud of his son's performance, and he praises the other two who have passed the test after him.
