The smart rabbit then says that since he asked to meet him today, he has already prepared the gold he promised him, and since he did not touch the marquis's backyard like he said he would, he guesses that the gold has already been prepared. The dumb rabbit then asks to be taken to the wine cellar, where he can drink the wine as a thank you for all the trouble he has been
