The next morning, the two men go to the underground laboratory to check on the progress of their experiments. They find that the laboratory has been attacked by the undead, and they need the men's help to find out what's going on. A new lab guard enters the laboratory and asks the men if they're friends or enemies. The men tell him that they are from the laboratory, and that they sent a messenger there before. The new guard wants to know what happened to Madame Bovary, but he doesn't know where she is. He's also worried that the place has been hit by missiles, so he'll have to sneak out and attack the undead.
