Back at the city, the men discuss why they haven't been able to find their brothers. They're worried that they're going to be kidnapped and extorted, and that they won't be able to get any information from the dark island. They don't know what to do, so they just run off to the other side of the mountain, where they can get back to the city. They find out that the brothers who escaped from the city have been killed by the pirates. The men are worried that this is a debt they owe to the pirates, and they need to get out ASAP.
