In this chapter, we learn that the "higher ups" are worried that you might be going to work for them, so they are sending you away. We learn that they're expecting you to "revitalize" the illusion business, which means that you're going to have to "fail and embarrass yourself" . We also learn that he's going to be working for his "boyfriend" , who is going to make sure that he doesn't get fired. He's not joking, though, and he tells us that the executive director of the company thinks highly of him, if he can get a word in with him, but that's just not going to happen. He says that if he willingly walks into this "trap" and makes the impossible possible, he'll be able to get the "exec director" to agree to let him stay on as a "team manager" for illusion world, which is a fancy way of saying that he should be the guy who gets the credit for the new company's success. He also says that he asked the exec director to keep the secret that he was going to start a new company, so that he wouldn't have to get fired from his current job. The exec director tells him that he can always come and join him if he ever gets fired, and that he will always be welcome at the company. We're not sure what this means, but we're guessing that it means that he won't be fired anytime soon.
