In this short scene, we learn that we're back in the world of the Tooth Fairy. We're introduced to a new character, who we've come to call "the haze" . He's a bit of a mystery to us, since he's not sure how to react to all the attention he gets from the people he meets in the real world. But he does know that it's better to be loved than to be hated. He also knows that he has a gift for her, and he thanks her for playing the part of a "friend" in the "real world." The two of them sit down to dinner, and the haze tells us that he hasn't been able to check in on her messages for a while. He says that he doesn't know how to handle the attention, and that he'd rather be loved by a bunch of people than be hated by so many. He thanks her again, and she says that she's glad to see him again. She also tells him that he seems to be busy these days, and asks him not to overwork himself. He tells her that he used to see her often, but now that he works as an "intern," he can't keep up with her.
