In this chapter, the narrator reflects on the events of the previous chapter. He realizes that he is in love with Eunjung and wishes that he could be with her. He tells her that she is the only person who has saved him from the brink of ruin. He also tells her about the agreement between him and Eunjung. He asks her to get her hands off of her boyfriend.
