In this short scene, the newly wed couple tries to sleepwalk through the night. When they wake up in the morning, they are overjoyed to find that they have been married for only a short time. The couple is overjoyed to be able to share their happiness with each other, and the narrator tells us that they are now "newly wed" . He then tells the couple that they should eat breakfast that night, since it was the first time they had tasted the food of their new home. The narrator then asks the couple what they would like for breakfast, and they both agree that they would want one chocolate and one strawberry. He tells them that he has imposed on them too much already, and that they owe each other "free" today. He asks if she would like a banana and a vanilla strontium , and she replies that she would not, since she has not yet told him anything about it. She then asks if he would like strawberry ice cream, and he replies that he would, since he has been craving it all night. She tells him that she has been a "coward" all her life,
