In this scene, Bei chen and the prince discuss the possibility of a duel between the two sides. The prince is convinced that the other side is real, and he asks the prince to find a way to defeat the enemy. The two men go off to look for the keeper of the spell, and Bei-chen finds him in the southeast corner of the country. He tells the prince that he can't kill the keeper because he's the one who asked the man to kill his men. The king's wife, however, thinks that this is a bad idea, because the man behind her will kill her to silence her. She says that if the prince wants to kill her, he should kill the man who asked him to kill the men. She also says that the king has lost his country and made her home, so she doesn't want to kill him. She tells him that there are many people who want him to avenge his death, but there are only a few who want to do it. She adds that if he were to die, there would be many more people who wanted to avenge him, but no one would do anything to stop him. Bei says that he has been loyal to the king since the day he returned to China, and that the one behind him has no excuse for not doing so. The man behind him, he says, is the same one who destroyed the cabinet three years ago. He's from the same family as the prince.
