The chapter opens with a conversation between Hiroshi and Mina. Hiroshi tells Mina that he's not going to be able to call on her often because of work. Mina says that she's giving up her hobby of sewing to help support her daughter. She tells Hiroshi that she wishes she could have turned her hobby into a career, but that it would have taken too much time and effort. She hopes that Mina can talk to her again. Mina thanks Hiroshi for all his help and advice, but says that it's hard for her to let go of her daughter because the more helpless she is, the more she loves her. She asks Hiroshi to order some costumes for her daughter so that she can wear them for the next time she goes to visit her. Mina tells her that her daughter is on fire with makeup and everything else, but she doesn't wear makeup while working. Mina asks if she'd like to be a coffee director, and Hiroshi says that he would like to have someone call him by his first name. He says that the new employees at the coffee shop are very good at their jobs, so he won't interfere with them. He asks Mina to go out for a walk with him, but Mina says she just wanted to be alone.
