When Kimiko returns, she apologizes for not showing her friends some of the pictures she took before she left. She says that she's been trying to take perfect pictures, but she can't figure out how to do it since she only took the pictures a few weeks before. She tells her friend that they've been waiting for dawn to get there, so they can get everything set up before the sun rises. When she asks if they're hungry, he says they should eat first, since it's too cold. He says he'll try to use the scalpel to get her to listen to his words. He asks if she'll listen to him when he's using the scalpel, and she says she'd use it on her pet. He tells her that she should think about how much she looks like her pet, and not just how perfect she is. She asks if he thinks he hasn't been watching her all these years, and he says he has. He goes on to tell her that he thought he'd show her how mature dignity looked like. Kimiko says she didn't take any pictures today, because she found the whole thing "utter defeat" . He also says that he has a pet, but he won't tell anyone about it.
