The next morning, the two of them go to the theater to see the play. They meet Hiroyuki, who tells them that he and his wife have been separated for a while. Hiroyuki says that his wife and his son have gone to town with another couple, and Hiroyuki is worried about them. He asks Hiroyuki if he is free to go out and do whatever he wants, and he says that he has a business to take him by his house when he can get off work.
