The next morning, Ani asks her mother how long it has been since she last saw her. She tells her that she has been sewing for nine years, and that she loves it. Ani asks why she gave it up, and she says that she couldnt let her ideals and her reality get in the way of what she wanted to do. She says that if she were younger, she would have been able to do more with her life than she can now. Ani thanks her mother for teaching her how to use the sewing machine, and Ani invites her to come over to her house next weekend.
