This chapter opens with a conversation between the Governess and Huck. The Governess tells Huck to stay away from her and her homework. She tells Huck that she wants him to know that she knows who he is and that this matter will not change because of the fact that he is a homosexual. Huck tells her that he has not yet made up with her and that she seems to be "tangled up" with him. Huck asks her what she would do if she were him and she tells him that
