In this chapter, we learn that Lin Ling, the protagonist's older brother, is a frequent visitor to his sister's home. He is also a frequent critic of the school's female students, and he often criticizes the school for its lack of female beauty. Lin Ling is embarrassed by his brother's comments, and the two discuss their mutual dislike for one another. They are interrupted by the entrance of the other student, Wu Yang, who has come to see the protagonist. The two exchange pleasantries, and Lin Ling tells his brother that he is not an uncle, but an older brother. He also tells him that his sister is very shy, and that she is afraid to admit it to him out loud. The older brother tells Lin Ling that he has been buying breakfast for his sister, and has been helping her get seats at the school. He then tells the younger brother to send a script for the final killer to be added to the "big file" , and to send separately a love letter for the protagonist to send to her. The younger brother, however, does not want to tell his sister that he was the person who told her to send the love letter, so he tells the older brother not to tell her that he told her.
