Unexpected Encounter in June

The scene opens with a flashback to the beginning of the novel, when the Governess and the Nurse are discussing the nature of their relationship. The Governess tells the Nurse that she will die if the Nurse does not release her after ten seconds. The Nurse replies that she is prepared to die if she is not released. The scene ends with the Nurse saying that she still has the candles from her fans and that she would not be able to match her current cowardly self on the stage if she did not mention the fact that she has also listened to the songs of the singer.
