The narrator and the other students congratulate each other on the team's victory over the university team. The narrator tells the students that the match was even more impressive than expected because the university had won so many times before. He tells them that he will help them cure the "dirty hand of theirs" by taking a picture of the man who has been standing behind them. He then tells them to hurry and take pictures of him so that he can send to the university to apologize to the students. He says that he knows that the man is in the wrong and that he is totally unable to handle the girl. The students are shocked to see the man standing next to them, and the narrator apologizes to him for his behavior. He also tells him that the girl is actually pretty good at fighting, and that the rumors that she was a tomboy were true. He asks the students what they think about the girl, and they tell him that they think she is pretty good. They also tell the narrator that the artist is finally there, embracing him. He is shocked to find out that he has not seen him around the shop for a long time, and he tells the narrator to tear all the posters of the artist outside the shop because he is angry with the author. He goes on to say that he hasn't seen the artist around in a while, and wonders why the author is so upset. He notices that the uncle is standing there, too, and says that the path is so wide that he doesn't know it is the same path as the book shop.
