In this scene, the angel tells Nemo that the fire and smoke in the sky are the result of a war between humans. He gives Nemo a pinecone to eat and a dewdrop to drop on top of a small tree to reflect the light. He also gives him a long-haired purple bird to talk to every day. The war has been going on for a long time, he says, and now that the war is over, people are going to stop killing each other.
