In this chapter, the narrator explains that he has gone to America with his fiance, who has taken him to see the city of Los Angeles. He tells the story of how he fell in love with his ex-boyfriend, and how he was forced to give him the wrong medicine to keep him from forgetting him completely. The narrator tells his fiance that he will be going to America, and that his criminal charges will not be counted there.
