He tells her that he is tired of her constant nagging and demands that she find a way to break the marriage contract. She refuses, saying that she has already used her dowry to pay the mortgage. She tells him that if he divorces, all of the family's property will go to one party. The narrator suggests that he try wearing contact lenses to see the future. He says that the lenses will help him to see his future better and that he will be able to divorce his wife after using the lenses.
