Elmire asks why the demon god hasn't returned yet. Elmire explains that she and eli no longer have to kneel before the "demon god of desire" to pray. She tells her that she's been born out of her divinity, so she can't accept any "unholy sacrifice" from anyone. She also tells Elmire that every time she visits her brother, he is impatient and attacks her with his sword. She wonders if there's a way to bring about a new life for the elves, but Elmire doesn't know yet. The only way to do it, she says, is to have a child. She kisses her, puts her in deep sleep, and when the child is born, she can wake her up again. But eli is different from her brother. She'll have to wait ten years before the child can come back to life. This is the only way, she tells her, because the child will die once it's born. She and Elmire are the only ones who can do this, and they're the ones who need to sacrifice their lives for the good of humankind.
