This chapter opens with a soliloquy by the "authentic disciple" of the "dragon and tiger sect" . He tells the patriarch of the clan that he has come to seek revenge on the linchen. The patriarch tells him that he is afraid of his sect seeking revenge against him. The disciple asks the patriarch to shut up and says that it is "mo yunfeng" who has been howling all the time. He says that since he is so energetic, he can "save his meals" by stopping his whining. He explains that the blood moon is the "mechanism for stopping enemies" and the "yin yang formation" is to get the spirit force to suppress the ghosts. He also says that the seven-petal flower symbolizes the "black aura" of a dragon. The disciples asks him to kneel and beg him for the flower.
