It's been a long time since we've seen Cai and the others, but now they're back on the floating island. They're worried about what's going on in the marsh, but they don't really know how deep it's really, so they just have to brace up. Cai tells the others to go back to the shore and wait for the monster to show up. He's not worried about them, because they've learned how to breathe underwater and stuff. The monster shows up and attacks the group, but the group manages to escape. Cai is worried about the kisser, but he's also worried about how the monster is going to respond to his kiss. The kisser has vomited the poisonous water, so she's okay, but Cai's worried that she'll die if he doesn't revive her. He asks the fan where he is going, and the fan tells him that the monster has "fiery energy" in its meat.
