This chapter's epigraph comes from a famous poem by the famous poet and alchemist, Ouyang, who was one of the masters of the Dragon and Tiger sect. In this poem, he says that the relic of his dead master is the storage ring from the tomb where he was buried. The ring contains the weapons and ammunition that were found in the tomb. Ouyang was killed many years ago, and the ring is now in the hands of an alchemist. The elder of the Dark Water sect, Cuiqiushui, tells the boy that he has no chance of defeating the master from the dragon-and-tiger sect. The boy says that he is a good friend of his father's, and that his mother was a valued member of the sect. He says that his father was too late to return to the tianyan realm because of the death of his mother, but that because of her father, he has been able to improve his cultivation tremendously. He asks if his father has been recovered from his death, as he is more reliable than his father, and says that with an alchemist, it is possible to do so. He warns that if he has to revenge, then he must be prepared, as there is still a huge difference between him and the leader of the dark-water sect.
