About This Chapter
In this chapter, the ghost of the long-horned muskdeer tells the boy that he will kill the boy from the "eight black divergent ghost" if the boy does not kill him. The boy is tired of living, and the only way he can reach the ghost is to kill him through the village. The only way to do so is to step over the dead body of the boy. The ghost says that he has heard the name "eight white youths" for so long, and he wants to pretend that he doesn't know them. He says that there are three "suns" in the sky, and that he thinks the girl is cute. He asks if the fight is fair, and she says that no one has ever said that a fight will be fair. He also says that the power of a body is ten times stronger than a body, and slaps the wind-valley village in 11 to win. He promises to give the boy one last chance to save his elder brother, mangosteen. He will release the boy immediately if he tells him the whereabouts of the "black-eyed rock." The boy agrees to tell him the location of the rock. He wants to return to live his simple life with the boy, and kill the "old guy" if he does not.
