In this chapter, we learn that fishbone's ability to transform is the same as his brother's, and that the two of them are members of the Eight White Youths, a group of holy warriors who protect sacred places in the territory of the beast spirits. In order to protect these sacred places, the eight white youths have created four temples, each guarded by a different member of the group. The first temple is guarded by divinevoice moon, and the second temple by little squeak, who was once a fierce warrior. Little squeak lost her memories when she was transformed into a beast, and she is unable to live in her former state. The other two temples are guarded by the other eight white youths, but they are not as strong as the first two. The reason for the weakness of the other two is that they do not know how to fight, and peach is not very good at fighting. The mask that the men wear is equipped with a recognition function, and it recognizes the temple where the men are guarding.
